Each class is designed to be hands-on and interactive. Most classes also include some problem-solving discussions for critical thinking activities, as well as some fun games based on the subject topic. Who said learning had to be boring? Each class is designed with a specific task in mind. Need a class on calculating self-employment income? We’ve got you covered. How about a class on recognizing current mortgage fraud schemes? We’ve also got you covered on that. We have classes designed for Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistants, Processors, Underwriters and Quality Control Auditors.
None! We don’t offer them. So, say goodbye to all those boring pre-recorded classes and classes designed to make you read for hours. All of our classes are live, fun and interactive.
Small Class Sizes- There is a maximum limit of 25 students per class to allow for more participation, more interaction, more fun and most of all… more questions answered. Our classes are designed to be hand’s-on and personable to ensure everyone understands the material instead of just attending another class.
All remote classes are live via Zoom. Zoom allows Whiteboard activities, polls, classroom break-out sessions, game applications and live transcripts for those who may need closed caption. Yes, we could come to your office and teach an entire department if you need, however, who wants to go to all that expense of travel fees, hotels, meeting rooms, lunches, etc.? The cost to you is much lower when done remotely. And believe it or not, the classroom can be a lot more interactive on Zoom than it can be in person.
We try to limit our classrooms to no more than 25 students per class to encourage more participation and interaction. Although that means some of our classes have a waiting list, it also means that the students get a lot more out of their classroom time. We know their time is as valuable as ours. We will not waste any of it on webinars that consist of thousands of people and no real way to get your questions answered. Today's society has proven those large webinar classes rarely work. Interaction is key to learning and interaction cannot be done properly with large groups.
Yes, we have some classes that are designed for everyone. However, there are some classes specific to job titles as well. A Processor doesn’t need to know how to fully review an appraisal like an Underwriter would. However, the Processor does need to know the basics of the appraisal and the “flags” that will bring up other questions or required documents (such as Private Road Maintenance Agreements, required repairs or inspections, or Solar Panel documentation.) The class descriptions will tell you the job titles that will benefit the most from each class.
We have three different certification programs available:
• New Hire Certification: What better way to ensure all your new hires start with the same core knowledge base? The certification is a 2-day course (8 hours each day) that can easily be fit into part of their on-boarding process.
• Core Knowledge Certification: When you need to ensure everyone on your team has the same basic knowledge of guidelines but can't afford for everyone on the team to be in class at the same time, this is the best option. It covers all 8 "Core Classes" but each class can be taken as their schedule allows for a lower cost than taken each class individually.
• Advancement Training Certifications: The certification trainings are designed for your in-house advancements, such as that great Processor that you want to promote up to an Underwriter, or that Conventional Underwriter you want to sponsor for their FHA CHUMS ID. These certifications are designed as mini classes (2 to 4 hours a day) stretched out over multiple weeks. This ensures that individual still has time for their current work activity within your company. Some of these classes are generally only offered at the beginning of the month so that your employee is class free during month-end.
Our classes automatically come with testing of the material, however, there are other times mortgage employers may need to purchase a test. Our test question database has thousands of questions ranging from simple industry terminology to more complex FHA guideline requirements. Each test includes a minimum of 50 job specific questions. These questions are chosen at random from the database so that no two tests are exactly alike. However, they will all cover the same topics. As an employer, you will get a copy of the test scores and an analysis about personal strength and weakness for the individual. This feedback is vital in assisting you with initial decisions on new hire/or advancement opportunities, as well as the training needs of the individual.
We offer three types of tests based on job specific roles:
• Pre-Employment Testing: Let’s face it, not every company has the same standards or job requirements. The need “just to fill the seats” the last several years has created different standards as well. An Underwriter could have learned to underwrite the whole file or could have just underwritten one piece of the file. As an employer, how do you determine what your possible new hire knows?
• Certification Testing: Do you already have employees who are taking other training classes through another company or an in-house trainer? No problem. You can use our services to test their knowledge to ensure that they have learned all that is needed to advance to the next level.
• Advancement Readiness Testing: Have an employee that you feel is ready for the next level (such as a closer you feel would make a good Processor, or a Processor you feel would make a good Underwriter)? Then let us help you make that decision with our Advancement Readiness Tests. These tests will help assist you in seeing what your employee already knows and what training they will need to focus if advancement is pursued.
Whether you are purchasing a Pre-Employment Test or Certifying an employee for New Hire or Advancement, we will give you honest feedback of their strengths and weaknesses. This will allow you to better understand the training needs or special attention needed for each individual.
Most training companies in the industry are charging several hundred dollars for those boring pre-recorded or read-only classes. Your will find our live, interactive classes a lot more reasonably priced. Most of our classes are only $85 each. If you sign up for our certification program, the cost per class is even lower.
Each student will receive three scores that are averaged together for the final grade. The first score is for class participation. (Due to the hands-on interaction pieces of the class, we know when the student is texting on their cell phone or downstairs washing clothes instead of actually participating in the class.) The second score is for the Pop-Quizzes (which are done by the games we have created within each class). The third score is for the actual Final Exam which is emailed to the participate to take online after the class session. All scores, including the final average, will be emailed to both the participant and the designated person within the company (manager or HR).
